The History of Taurus Zodiac Sign

The Taurus Zodiac sign does not match the constellation of Taurus due to the precession of Equinox. It's a continuation of the sign of Aries and depicts the second 30 degrees of the zodiacal circle. The sign of Aries marks the start of spring, as well as life's beginnings, while Taurus is a fixed star that continues what Aries has begun. In the sign of Taurus, life blooms fully.

The stars of the Taurus constellation have two open clusters, the Pleiades and the Hyades, which are concentrated at the end of the sign of Taurus and beginning of Gemini zodiacal sign. It was used to mark the position of the Sun during the spring equinox around 2000 BC, exactly like Aries did in antiquity. 5000-1700 BC, before precession brought our vision to Aries, it was linked to it.

Taurus is one of the ancient constellations known to have existed. It was depicted in cave paintings dating back 15,000 BC, but it wasn't until the Babylonian astronomy that it was represented as a bull named "The Bull of Heaven" or "The Bull In Front." Its role in agricultural calendars influenced several bull figures across ancient Sumer, Akkad, Assyria, Babylonia, Egypt, and Greece and Rome.

Mantra and Purpose

The Taurus motto, " I have," is a call to action.

The voice of conservation, preservation, and stability emerges in the Bull's mantra: "I have".

The Bull's sense of purpose is all about materializing and stabilizing their relationships and communities, providing structure, dependability, and reliability.

Because we all have a Taurus in our birth chart, we may look to the house that the Bull rules to discover the specific aspect of our life that we approach in a determined, steadfast manner, or where we require the power of the Bull's cool, patient energy for mastery.

Tauruses are drawn to any activity that allows them to create, establish, and finish a goal.

Taurus' abilities and talents may be utilized in many different ways, including growing plants and herbs, building things, artistic creation, and touch sensitivity.
